Beginners Classes  ~   February 25—May 5, 2008

                                         Monday Nights 6:45—8:15pm

                                 

These are classes for people who are brand new to belly dance. In this class we start with the basics of Belly Dance, from basic posture to shimming. 

We suggest that you take at least 2 sessions of the Beginners classes before you move to the intermediate classes.  

There will be a dance taught in this class, using the combinations that are taught during class.                                          

 

 
Upcoming Workshops...

Intermediate/Advanced Classes ~ February 28-May 8, 2008

                                                         Thurs. Night 7:00-8:30pm

 

This is a more intense class. We request that you have taken at least 2 sessions of the Basic classes so that you have the basic. We spend more time on Drills and Technique in these classes.

There will be a dance taught for performance during the Hafla.

· 03/29—03/30 ~ Tribal Pura with Meg and Carolena!!! Carolena is the Director and Founder of Fat Chance Belly Dance. This will be 2 days of  intense tribal.  You will learn Combinations, Tricks to Spins… etc.  This workshop is hosted by the lovely ladies of Indudala Tribal of New Orleans. · 04/24-04/27 ~ Spirit of the Tribes #8 Spirit Tropical!!!   This is one of the largest Tribal workshops in the South. It is 4 days of workshops with 20 instructor from all over the world. For more information check out their website at www.majanile.com

In our classes,  we strive to give all our dancers what they come to class for. At the end of each session, we hold what we call a Hafla. This is a small performance for friends and family to come see what they have been doing in class.

It is not a requirement! You do not have to participate. This is just a fun way for you to show off all your new moves!

 

Hafla Dates and Times will be posted at a later date.
